Catz Angels CARE, Inc. is located in Fremont, Nebraska and is a 100% volunteer, no-kill rescue. We take in strays and abandoned cats and kittens, get them the appropriate medical treatment, have them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, given flea treatments, microchipped, and FIV/FelV tested before finding them a loving forever home. Most in our care are in foster homes, but we also have a small shelter building in Fremont as well.
In 2022 we spent around $110,000 in vet care for animals brought to us, many found as strays, injured or sick, and suffering. In 2022 we were able to spay and neuter about 650 cats and find homes for around 520!
CARE works to educate cat owners and the entire community about the importance of spay/neuter programs to effectively and humanely reduce the feral and community cat population in our area.
Mission Statement: The mission of CARE is to improve the health and welfare of our community cats by providing spay/neuter services, medical services, community education, and appropriate colony management.
These volunteers make up its board: Jan Pemberton-President, Marsha Niday-Vice President, Sarah Asbach-Secretary, Deana Vyhlidal-Treasurer, and members Amanda Bates, Gina Toelle, and Lacey Taylor.
